Tag-a-Pic was developed by Modiez, an Israel-based startup company specializing in
face detection and recognition technologies. Our service has been available through various third-party web sites since 2007.
Hundreds of thousands of photos have already been tagged using our technology.
In late 2008 we decided to bring our technology to the personal
computer. After all, why limit the use of face detection and
recognition to online services when people want to tag and store tags
on their own computers?
In July 2009 we launched the first private beta version of Tag-a-Pic, a very smart yet simple application that helps
tag photos on a personal computer.
Tag-a-Pic is the first Windows-based face detection and recognition application available to the masses.
